“Why am I getting rNotify as sender name when I send bulk SMS?”
The change of sender name on your bulk SMS to rNotify on your MTN number is as a result of the DND (Do Not Disturb) service imposed on your MTN number either by the networks or self.
The Do Not Disturb service was initiated by the NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission) to all GSM network operators to block numbers from receiving bulk SMS (third party text messages).

However, MTN operators imposed this DND on some of their subscribers while some subscribers activated DND, hence the rNotify appears on those MTN numbers.
Some MTN are not DND active and other networks (Airtel, Etisalat and GLO) are not affected with this “rNotify” instead they get your customized Sender Name.
What is the solution to rNotify on MTN DND numbers?
Here is the Solution; We suggest you start your message content with the same SENDER NAME, so those MTN affected, will recognize the Sender immediately they receive your SMS even when they get “rNotify”. See Illustration in Image below.

- REGISTER by clicking open a bulk sms account.
- RECHARGE by Buy Bulk SMS through mobile transfer or bank payment

Fill Email as Depositor’s name (bank deposit) or Remark/Narration (mobile transfer).
- SEND SMS by logging on to your MultiTexter bulk SMS with your email and password to send your SMS.
To deliver your SMS to DND numbers on Multitexter, you have to tick the “Priority Route” box right under “Send Later” (Schedule Bulk SMS).
