WHY IS MY BULK SMS NOT DELIVERING ?

Text STOP to 2442 from your line. Then Text ALLOW to 2442 to remove your number from the DND (Do Not Disturb) list.

Have you been experiencing low delivery of messages when you send bulk sms? Or you have stopped receiving bulk sms for a while now? Or certain numbers don’t get your bulk sms?

This is likely as a result of the creation of DND “Do Not Disturb” service enacted by the NCC (Nigerian Communication Commission starting on 1 July 2016. GSM operators sent this update to their subscribers.

DND (Do Not Disturb) service blocks your line from receiving bulk sms or promo sms from third party. However this can be deactivated if you find out you have not been receiving important messages as bulk sms or certain numbers don’t get your bulk sms especially MTN numbers.

Are you saying “but I didn’t subscribe to DND” some subscribers’ numbers were activated without consent. Same is also possible for those numbers that are not getting your bulk sms. You can opt out of the DND service, activate fully or partially. The DND Service is totally FREE.

Text STOP to 2442 from your line. Then Text ALLOW to 2442 to remove your number from the DND (Do Not Disturb) list.

Note that bulk sms sent to these DND numbers are still billed by GSM operators even though it won’t delivered. But after sending your bulk sms, you can request for detailed report so you can detect the DND numbers on Multitexter Bulk SMS.

We have also gotten feedback from subscribers that have sent this code as text yet they won’t get bulk sms. We suggest you contact your network provider.
